The Alcains Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) plant, located in the Municipality of Castelo Branco, is sited in Alcains and started operation in the end of 2023. The energy generated is fed into the grid line ALCA Lardosa I, SE de Alcains - Lardosa, via a 15-kV interconnection line.
