With the usual discretion and keeping up with the targets set for its expansion, the company will continue to grow gradually within the subsector of the renewable energies, with the installation of new energy production facilities and with the provision of services inside and outside the Group, either related to the multiple evaluation and to the promotion of new energy projects, or to the operation of the power plants already built. The implementation of new energy projects available will continue, either at Hidroerg, or indirectly through its affiliated companies, after evaluation of the most appropriate alternative.
The management of the seven hydropower plants, all located in the central and northern regions of mainland Portugal, is undertaken by Hidroerg. The operation and maintenance of those facilities are performed under the company’s direct responsibility, whereas as the three wind farms and three solar photovoltaic plants are concerned O&M contracts were signed with third parties - partners in the market and in fact the equipment installers.
Despite the importance of following up and managing the power plants already installed, optimizing their operation and securing their preventive and corrective maintenance, the company believes that significant human resources should remain allocated to the development of new business, either in its traditional areas or in new areas.

For that purpose, the company seeks to diversify its activity, both in terms of energy production projects from natural resources, such as water, wind and solar radiation, as in the provision of services to third parties, both nationally owned and international projects.
